The European Week of Winter Sport (EWWS) is returning from 1 to 8 February 2026, celebrating inclusive, sustainable, and accessible winter sport experiences all across Europe.
After the success of the pilot edition, EWWS is now expanding into a truly continental initiative, involving schools, clubs, municipalities, and sport organizations in more than 15 countries.
We are now looking for event organizers who want to be part of this movement. Whether you represent a school, a sports club, a municipality, or a local association, EWWS is your opportunity to showcase your activities within a European framework and connect with hundreds of initiatives happening at the same time across Europe.
Why Become an EWWS Event Organizer?
By registering your event as part of EWWS 2026, you will:
-
Gain visibility on the official EWWS website and communication channels
-
Receive access to the EWWS toolkit and co-branded promotional materials
-
Position your local initiative within a European framework of sport and sustainability
-
Be eligible for the Best Sustainable Solution Award 2026
-
Receive an official certificate of recognition for your contribution
Being part of EWWS doesn’t mean you have to organize a big official competition or a professional sports event. What really matters is creating opportunities for people to move, get active, and enjoy winter together.
Your event can take many forms:
-
a simple outdoor walk with a group of friends
-
a school activity in the playground
-
a community sports day
-
a workshop on winter wellbeing
-
an open session in the park
The important thing is that it happens during the week of 1–8 February 2026, when communities across Europe will be moving at the same time.
Winter is often the season when it feels hardest to stay active — that’s why your initiative, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference. By joining EWWS, you help spread the values of inclusion, sustainability, and youth participation, showing that everyone can take part in winter sport and physical activity.
Participation is free of charge and open to all committed organizers.
