European Week of Winter Sport – EWWS 2026
As part of the 2026 edition of the European Week of Winter Sports (EWWS), we will launch the second edition of our promotional content contest, open to all individuals and organizations who organize or participate in EWWS events.
The contest aims to encourage creativity, raise visibility for local winter sport events, and highlight the values of sustainability, community, and tourism.
New in 2026
This year, participants may submit either a video or a photo series. Both formats will be evaluated within a single ranking system, and the Top 5 entries will be selected and rewarded.
Objective
To collect and reward the most creative and impactful visual content produced during EWWS 2026 events that:
- Promote winter sports in connection with sustainability, local tourism, or community engagement
- Inspire broader participation and raise awareness about the EWWS mission
- Provide valuable content to be used in future EWWS communication
Participation Guidelines
Participants must:
- Be the rightful authors of the submitted content
- Post their content (videos or photos) on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube
- Use the following official hashtags:

#BeActiveWinter
#SustainableWinterSport
#Top5BestPromotionalContent - Tag the official EWWS profiles
- Submit the link to their post and contact details via the official contest form
Format Requirements
- Video entries: Duration between 10 and 90 seconds
- Photo entries: Up to 5 photos from the same event or initiative
Contest Timeline
- Contest opens: 1 February 2026
- Contest closes: 28 February 2026
- Winners announced: March 2026
Evaluation Criteria
All submissions will be reviewed by a dedicated EWWS jury and scored based on the following criteria:
- Creativity (30 points) – Originality and distinctiveness of the idea and execution
- Relevance to Theme (30 points) – Strength of the message related to winter sport, sustainability, tourism, or community
- Technical Quality (20 points) – Clarity, aesthetic value, and editing quality
- Engagement (10 points) – Interaction metrics on social platforms (likes, shares, comments)
- Call to Action (10 points) – Ability to inspire or mobilize others toward participation or sustainable practices
Submissions in video format may be awarded up to 10 additional points in recognition of the complexity and creative potential of this medium.
Prizes
- The top 5 entries will receive EWWS-branded rewards
- The main winner will receive a GoPro or equivalent prize
- All winning content will be promoted via official EWWS channels and featured in the EWWS 2026 final report
