Winter Activity Week – CD Mar e Serra

Clube Desportivo Mar e Serra, based on Madeira Island (Portugal), joins the European Week of Winter Sport 2026 with three youth-focused activities promoting movement, wellbeing and community participation: • Taekwondo Winter Open Class – 3 February At EB1/PE Ilhéus School, an open Taekwondo session for children and young students, promoting discipline, coordination, confidence, inclusion and healthy movement. • Winter Basketball Skills Day – 4 February At HBG Sports Hall, a dynamic basketball training session for young athletes, focusing on teamwork, fundamental skills, coordination and physical activity during winter. • Kids Winter Sport Fishing Experience – 7 (or 8) February At Cais 8, an introductory sport fishing activity for children and young people, promoting outdoor movement, respect for nature, sustainability and basic fishing skills. These events are inclusive, accessible and aligned with the values of the European Week of Winter Sport. The initiative encourages healthy lifestyles, youth participation, winter activity and community wellbeing.
