Liga Unike, Basketboll Femra

The event is an official basketball match of the Unified League (Liga Unike), organized in collaboration with the Multisports Club (Klubi Shumësportesh). It is scheduled for 21 January at the Sports Palace in Vlorë and will feature the local team, Flamurtari, against Bashkimi Prizren from Kosovo. The match is part of the regular Unified League competition calendar and is well suited to take place within the framework of the European Week of Winter Sports. The Unified League is a cross-border basketball competition integrated within the national championship systems of Albania and Kosovo. It brings together six teams in total: the top three teams from the Albanian National Championship and the top three teams from the Kosovo National Championship. The league functions as a championship within the national leagues and determines the overall Unified League champion. Beyond the competitive match itself, the event promotes sporting values such as fair play, cross-border cooperation, and regional integration through sport. In the previous season, Flamurtari won the Unified League title and also became national champions, highlighting the competitive level and significance of the event.
