Be Active for Peace: Winter Sports as a Path

The event is organized within the European Week of Winter Sports – BeActive and aims to promote physical activity as a tool for social health, inclusion, and peace. Designed for areas without snow, the program uses winter sports–inspired activities adapted for indoor and outdoor spaces. Participants of different ages and backgrounds take part in cooperative games, team challenges, wellness walks, and inclusive movement sessions focused on fair play, respect, and teamwork. Alongside physical activities, reflection moments and group discussions highlight the positive impact of sport on mental well-being, social cohesion, and peaceful coexistence. The event encourages an active lifestyle while strengthening community bonds and promoting shared European values through sport.
